About.
Hello, I am a freelance drummer and percussionist. I have over 35 years’ experience gigging and recording with a variety of bands around the north of England, including: 3 Speed, Soulfish, Far Fetched, Long Trick, Jonny C and the Blues Assassins, The Ruby Stone Sound, Big Town Boogie and many others. I’m a big fan of most musical styles and equally happy playing rhythm & blues, pop, rock, soul, funk - almost anything! I have experience playing in trios, five-piece bands and 9 and 10-piece acts. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to support a number of big names, such as Edwin Starr, Wilko Johnson, Buddy Whittington and Steve Phillips.
Performed with Sawdust at The Big 80's Fest in 2022 alongside Sister Sledge, Gareth Gates, Martin Kemp, Boney M and more. I’ve also appeared at several UK festivals, including The Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham on the Tom Robinson stage and The Great British R&B Festival with three different acts, Long Trick, 3 Speed and Late Night Call.
In addition, I have performed kit and percussion for a variety of musicals and stage shows, including Fame.
Currently, I'm a member of both Americana trio Tonight We Ride and five-piece pop/rock band Sawdust.
